There were one white adult female guppy who had given birth to some more white guppies one month ago. Unluckily, all but one escaped and disappeared. the last one was male and was kept in breeder box. For unknown reasons, the white adult never got pregnant even after more guppies (one male and one female) were introduced for one week. I turned one the lights to see them clearly but I saw the white guppy fry bent in a weird position like it was swimming when it died and I found the adult white also bent similarly, both dead and sunken at the bottom of the tank and breeder box. The other fish were fine. Since the dead fish were creepy, I did not take photos. PLZ HELP!!! I do not have enough resources for a water test, sorry.

I find they are pretty frail these days too. They used to be known as a hardy fish but from what I’ve experienced lately that’s no longer the case.
Being mass produced and seen as a cheap expendable fish hasn’t helped their genetics I think.
Buy a heap of them with a 1 male to 3 or 4 female ratio, put them in a heavily planted tank and breed your own would be best if you want to replace them.
