beautiful Hartwegi...

I use prime for every change, even if it's a little. I don't know what sort of damage too much... whatever is in prime(what is in prime anyway?) can do to the fish, but I certainly know what chlorine, chloramine, and heavy metals do. My tap water comes out smelling like soap. Wish I had a nice RODI unit like the fancy marine guys.

You can go to the Seachem web site and read about it. It also has a link to the MSDS. If you want more info you could reasearch the individual ingrediance and see what they do and how they do it. HTH

looks like "Proprietary aqueous solution of complexed hydrosulfite salts."

OP - I'd guess the issue to be one of surface aggitation. Introducing some bubbles should cause the necessary surface aggitation, or simply aiming return jets or powerheads towards the surface to create a bit of wake should help. The bubbles aren't actually helping to get oxygen into the water, it's the surface agitation they cause that does the work. Or so I've been lead to believe.

ok i took an airstone out now i only have one, the fish actually seem better today. maybe cuz theyre so small they wer getting stressed by it?

prime in BIG DOSES could do this... dont dose for more than tank volume , unless you have BAD, AMMONIA ,NITRITES...
