I bought 8 frontosas from davesrarefish.com and after a couple of weeks my fronts have been dieying. I only have 2 left. I also have other cicihlds in the tank, but they are fine. It seem like the fronts start swimming weird when they are about tp die.

It is a 30 gal with a aquaclear 70. I also have a air pump rated for 220 gallons for extra oxigen. I provided several rocks for caves. The tank is cycled, its been up and running for 10 months. All the other fish are fine and never attack the frontosa. I know this because I spend several hours staring at my fish tanks.
They starded dying a month after being purchased.

30 gallons for 8 fish that get over 4 inches in their first year? among other cichlids? get a bigger tank dude. Even if they did live theyd suffer alot. Im usually not one to talk as i have 2 fronts in a 55 gallon (theyre still only 2 inches) but a 30 for EIGHT is just ridiculous. even with 2 inch fish youd need an upgrade.

i dont think its the size of the tank or the filter because i have alot frontosa and other fish growing out in my 125g with no problem also i feed them 3 to 4 time a day. it could be the water or internal problem with the front

All the frontosa swim weird before they die, usually side ways and they sake alot. It seems like their body is twisted (the half front of their body is normal, but the other half is twisted.
