I think i've lost another heater...this will be 3 in less than 9 months...I continually buy the MARINELAND heater with adjustable thermostat....I let each sit under water so the thermostat adjusts...I never do partial water changes to the point it is out of the water...I mean its been fully submerged! WTF? Are marineland heaters junk?

Current models are, yes. If you do a forum search, you will find a TON of posts complaining about them failing. Especially the Stealth model.

Stick with EBO-JAGER heaters.....In my opnion, I go by the name brand that makes the best heater, Ebo Jager.....I have been using the Jebo-Jager heater line for almost 20 years...........One has not failed me..........Remember, 2-3 watts per gallon...........

they also run hot..
so i use a 200 on my 106 and a 300/125 on my 220, which i think is on the low side of 2w a gallon

is there a chance I'm using TOO MUCH wattage? I usually use a 200 watt for my 55 gallon...
