If you are using one of the darker backgrounds the font shows up as white by default, and if you use the light background you can't see white letters.

For example if I type a message with the dark background, it shows up white, but if I switch back to the light background, it shows up black. The only time it shows up white with the light background is if someone sets the font to white, which is pointless.

So is it accidental? I just noticed while making this thread that my signature was in black font with the dark background, but I fixed it.

You're confused?

Simple version:

if you use the blue or grey background, the font automatically shows up white, and if you switch to the light background it will be black. The only reason it will show up white on the light background is if you set the font to white...setting the font to white on the darker backgrounds is pointless, because it is already white.

Right now I am using the blue background and the font automatically shows up white, even though I didn't set it to white.

So if I switch over to the light background I can still see what I've typed.

But if I am using the blue background and set the font to white,

like this: I won't be able to see it with the light background.

Switch the background to white and you won't be able to see this line

or this one

Yes I agree with you. Not sure why anyone uses the colored font, other then to hi-light some thing particular. The default setting works fine

Then don't set your font to white.
Just let it go to default which will work for whatever skin you change it too.
