I swear i have had like 5 of these and they either havent worked or were impossible to read ... Ridiculous :nilly: and they don't come right off to boot its a one time stick thing.

Of the four or five I have they seem to be fairly accurate. They correspond with IR temp gun

Hard to read? depends on the room lighting.

Definitely a stick once item

Come on they take the perfect temp of the out side the glass if that's what your looking for . otherwise coral life digital thermometers are 5 to 8 bucks and I have 12 + of them and they all been compared to each other and there with in .2 degrees all there battery's last about a year as well ! I have twice as many in operation on my breeding colonies of snakes. they work both in and out of the water !!

my LFS doesn't have the digital one's I am ordering some now. I wonder if I have bad luck all the other stick ons work well and are easy to read. My best marineland stick on was almost impossible to read the rest didnt work at all.

I think all thermometers suck!!! I've been on the market for an accurate one for months and can't find one regardless of the brand. Have looked at digitals as well as the old mercury and same brand ones right next to each other have had a difference of up to 3 degrees!!!

werd at least i am not the only one (sometimes I feel like an equipment hypochondriac )

Nope, good call on your behalf. For almost six months i have been reading the temp on my tank from my chiller, but i don't know what to do when i need to callibrate the temp on the chiller!!!

Find yourself a good "lab grade" thermometer to base line your thermometers with. You can find a good one for under ten bucks.
