Have you seen a channa barca or aurantimaculata or pleurophthalma or even a nice bleheri?

I think channas are the better looking fish, hands down.

Cichla orinos and gold azuls are stunning, really beautiful, but the average mono, ocellaris, or temensis is no better looking than a micro imo. Personally I find my cobra snakehead better looking than most pbass.

To each his own.... I have nothing against Channa, they are beautiful fish. I just prefer Cichla over Channa

Same here toxic, I really like pbass, so does my GF. I recently passed up 3 pbass as I was more interested in a Channa and Cuban gar, but when I move and get more tanks I'll get more pbass.

It's all subjective, it's fine you prefer cichla, channas are just my favourite fish. I might like huge tits, and you might like small tits, to each his own :D

My only point really on this thread was about them being the best predator, I have to vehemently argue my case on that one, just look at Jed's pics ;)

Jed - yeah that's what I love about them really. Though in my experience they have either been super nasty and brutal since like 2 inches, or actually not too bad, and can live with other fish.

My cobra snakehead currently 9 inches seems fine at present, though I still am a little nervous about eventually keeping it with my Cuban gar.

cause there figgen sweet thats why!!! (i dont really have one, but its my life dream to get one)

Ok I see. Yeah channa would kill a pbass anyday.

Oh Gars and Snakeheads are 2 kinds of fish that you can always mix with no problems. Unless of course there is quite a size difference.

Because I wanted to fish for them forever and always liked the way they looked so when I got a tank big enough it seemed like a logical alternative to fishing for them for now and they dominate the feeders which is always a crowd pleaser :) ~Trent

I like the colors, size, behavior, and feeding time!!! I also have to pick them over Rumble's Channa just because they are actually LEGAL to keep in the US!!!!! Although I like channa as well! ;) :headbang2
