Why do you like peacock bass????

Well Today on the way home from work in the car (whilst listening to Linkin park ) I asked my dad how come you've got into Peacock bass so much so quickly, he loves em as much as me now. A

And he said its everything about them. In his eyes he says that a PB looks how a fish should look like the body shape and colouration.

I have to agree with this. I love being drenched by them, again the shape and colouration. The attitude that they have and the 'wow' factor that my big boy has on visitors.

I have liked them since way back when I was under the impression that there was just one species and I seem to learn something new about them everyday.In this area the stores still dont get into the different types yet,actually only two stores will identify which ones they have,the others will sell six to eight inch peacocks for forty to fifty bucks and they dont know which ones they are.I love big beautiful fish so these are right up my alley.

the different species; coloration, personality, feeding, aggression, rareness, size, shape and everythign else about them! i fish alot and i love fish in general... before i even knew that people kept them in a tank when i was like 10 years old i used to watch OLN in the morning and peacock bass fishing in the amazon always had me drooling and the colors and explosive strikes.. need i say more?!

all of it in general dude. i mean, i love the look of bass, cichlids are my fav. fish... what more can ya get from a fish?

I love everything about cichla!
Different sp's.. the fact that their could be even more different undiscovered sp's out there.. i love the colours, the body shape, the characteristics each fish shows and the agressive feeding that is unmatched with any other tank fish..

their color their natural acting in the tank as if you have the discovery channel right in your home the hunt their speed and control like right before they crash into the glass they stop, they interact with me and and my family when we walk into the room they greet us its just as i say always remind me of pitbulls in water

I agree with everything that has just been said, they are the perfect fish, calm but extremely powerfull and dangerous when they want to be the shape the colour the eyes personality the way they cover large ammounts of open tank space amazing fish. Just the way they are so calm and nice but when hungy ar pushed they have they have so much speed agression and power on tap

The way they greet me like dogs when entering the room. And its super cool how they splash water all over me and every where else while hand feeding. Awesome personality.
