Why does everybody hate super red severums?

Who hates them? I happen to think they are one of the most beautiful fish out there.

They're a line bred colour morph which many keepers don't agree with. Regardless of that, I also think they're just too colourful - standard golds are also line-bred but in my opinion a good quality male is more stunning and less "overdone" than a super red.

The more natural greens will always be my personal favourite, though.

I see so many people say severums are the best, minus the super reds, etc. I personally think they are the best coloring for severums.

I don't know anyone who hates them. Why would they? Electric blue jack dempsey, now those I can't stand...lol.

Can't be 'everybody' since I was never asked. I don't hate them either. In fact, I have a couple.

"Somebody" or "some people" seem the more appropriate term(s) there. I don't hate them. "Hate" is such a strong word. I happen to like gold and red sevs more than any other color there is.

I think they are beautiful fish. I was so disappointed when the entry in the Atlanta ACA convention a few years back didn't place. I was told by a fellow hobbiest that it had something to do with its size though. Its one of those fish that I always want but just never have the tank space for it so maybe I'll get one this coming year.
