Why Fast?

Give me some health reasons why I shouldn't feed my juvi flowerhorn once a week. I feed him twice a day and haven't missed a day since I've had him (since 10/09). Is there something unhealthy about that?

Re-read my question and confused myself. To put it clearer:

I feed mine 3times a day *shrugs* grown big and fast.

to screw up the metabolism, it makes them want to keep more fat and use less calories. I guess its a good plan for if your tightwad(putting it nicely) and dont want to use alot of food.

i see no benefit to the animal.
