Why feeding live can be risky to your puffers...

Some one sent me this video today, so i thought i would share it here...

This video shows exactly why you should becareful feeding live crabs / crays to puffers of similar size... especially if they have large pincers...

I think it was due to the fact that the crab was WAY to big for that lil congo....against a number of other larger puffers however, well we know how that ends up.
 
^ Yup exactly, which is why i said gotta becareful when feeding crabs / crays of similar size to the puffer... so really this is more of a heads up thread for any new comer who might not have thought about it previously...
 
Ya, I won't be doing that with my Fahaka.
 
I fed my fahaka fiddler crabs and that has never happen.
 
I know its not a guarantee it will happen.. but just more of a heads up to watch out if you do feed live...

I'm sure when a fahaka first comes across a live crab they are probably going to have to think how to tackle it... i know my fahaka used to attack Crays head on till she realized, attacking them from behind is a much safer bet...
