Why has my glass have 8 blotches rainbow crazing?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
ive added new driftwood and sand, so the sand is settling and the driftwood is beginning to sink, plus I'm buying a new light so don't hassle me on the look of my 135 gallon aquarium haha. (my parachromis dovii pair are in a temporary holding aquarium)

Don't know if it's the same thing, but I bought a used tank a while back with a couple of hazy spots that looked like mineral deposits. Looked almost etched into the glass, but they came off using vinegar and an unused Scotch Brite type of dish sponge (non-scratching scrubbing material on one side). Took a little time and patience. Also, it kept producing a sort of slurry as the deposit gradually dissolved, it worked better to keep this rinsed or wiped off with a paper towel.

Thanks for the help neutrino, but it actually looks like crazing on the glass, its a rainbow color and with the new light for my 135 gal i never see the thing... i dont even mind it as you need to turn of the light and flash a flash light at it for it to become noticeable...
