Anyways I was just wondering as to why spoonhead arowanas are considered better quality than non-spoonhead arowanas? I am mainly referring to asian arowanas.

Lend me your thoughts especially the sellers.

Let's say they that you are comparing an arowana that has a droopy head compared to another one that has a head that is horizontal on the top. Most people will say that the arowana with the straighter horizontal head is higher quality. Why is that?

I'm guessing because its not as common. Its a lot harder to find a spoon head arowana than the average horizontal head.

It doesn't have to be a an exceptional spoonhead. Why is it that asian arowanas with droopy heads are not considered high quality?

Other opinions?

what do you mean by a droopy head vs a spoon head?

Usually get either bullet head (horizontal w/ body) or spoonhead (little dip between body and head)

King aro is different than a spoon head...king aro is usually spoonhead + shortbody.

I think people like spoonhead more since it makes the fishes body appear more massive and majestic. Personally, I think its all a matter of personal preference and how the individual fish looks.

Drooping as in bullet head. Thanks for the term aro-discuss. The beauty of asian arowana to me is based on its scales.

Personal preference definitely holds ground here.
