Why is Crenicichla Zebrina so rare?

Is it because the river it inhabits is also home to radioactive zombie cyborg werejaguars? I don't understand why they are so infrequently imported.
 
They're just difficult to catch.
Come from the same area as intermedia bass if you know anything about cichla they're the rarest as of now. When people in Germany targeted them they failed for over two years. They finally caught some and sold the handful for $3.5k-$5k a piece
