Just set my tank up, filled with water, added tap water conditioner...

i started heating it up too. why, all of the sudden, is all my decor and powerhead covered in a bunch of small bubbles? is this normal? just checking...

shouldn't be anything serious. probably just air bubbles from the filter return and also air trapped during the filling with water

Agreed....the air bubbles should work their way out in a couple of days from the flow of water. Your tank will need a while to cycle anyways.

This is your answer.

many tap water conditioners have things in them (stress coat has aloe in it) to help promote slime coat. they also have the tendency when heavily dosed IME to cause bubbles to stay longer. still harmless
