Why is he white

Yea he is. I still don’t know why he is like light colored now. He used to be almost black when I rescued him and then went to his darker brown normal color African lung fish should be and I just went to watch him and he looks like this

could be mood, could be environment. bare tank, lighting. If he is eating fine and acting fine I would not worry about it. I would give him some sub-straight.

my preference is sand, others prefer smaller gravel
