I just had this problem with my Leo & Flower ray, both of which have always been healthy eaters. I run a drip system, which I sometimes crank-up more than I need to...and discovered that chlorine was present, even after going past a chlorine filter. I have turned off the drip for the past few days and added bottle bacteria, just in case any of the BB were killed off by the chlorine, both rays are now chewing & swallowing. If you are changing lots of water-make sure to add some Prime when doing so...never know when they might do a Chlorine Burn on your water supply.
