Water level depends on the individual person and their likes dislike...

One thing to know about filling up a tank to the brim is Jumping issues.. if your tank isn't secured and there is no strong cover on it.. it can result in a dead fish (fish jumping out)

I myself do not have my tank full.. i leave about 3" on top to prevent jumping even if i have a cover...

But if u have a strong cover, by all means.. fill the tank to the brim...

^^ yeah my tank is in my room and i cant sleep with trickleing water so i allways fill it up! i was just wondering i thought it was because of the oxygen bubbles

i leave em low for aeration/surface agitation. (HOB filter) and some don't have lids as well and i don't want them jumping out

yeah am gunna put some tape on the doors of the hood to pevent him from jumping out all tho he doesnt act like he will even try..

Males with really big nuchal humps prolly need the lower water level so they can actually eat floating food without hitting their hump.

flowerhorns jump out of the tank to attack who is walking buy or watching them
