why is there 2 different light bulbs

Today I bougth a 20 gallon aquarium on craigslist and with it I got a light for free that the guy dident need for a 20 gallon, the light has 2 different bulbs and one doesent work. Theyre both from coralife and one says 10,000 k and the other is 6700 k, why are they different? Also the 6700k one is broken, do I need to replace is with one that is exactly the same? My setup is going to be freshwater.

Nah, just by one to suit your need. The 10,000k may even be too much, but whatever works fine.

2 different spectrum's that's all. 10k is a whiter light than the 6.7k.

The 6700 is what they call colormax, its a different color to bring out your fishes colors

10000k light spectrum is representative of full midday sunlight.

6700k represents morning or afternoon sunlight.
