Why is there a sudden boom of worms?

i did a water change this night and after a few hours, i realized that there are a lot of worms.Why are there worms?

Most likely planaria... need a better description.

If planaria, lighten up feedings, keep up water changes. They are harmless and will go away.

gravel vac more often, feed less food more often... x2 what madding said essentially.. extra food in the tank rotting seems to cause these guys to boom.. and when you do a water change they will just "appear" out of no-where ( your gravel 9/10)
