why isn't there a highly nutritional pellet food for people yet?

They got pellet foods for fish, dogs, cats, rodents, birds, etc. That can sustain those animals for life using only that food.... why isn't there one for people yet? I want some bachelor chow!

I would guess that it wouldn't taste good.. but then again, it could solve a lot of problems like overfishing, over farming etc.

Astronauts take pellet type nutritional food to space.. our soldiers have canned food that is packed with vitamins... so in reality there are foods that are packed tightly with nutrition.. but most humans except under dire circumstances like to eat a diet varied in taste ... and if you have an idea of nutritional value you can get both..taste and nutritional needs... animals do not have this knowledge of course..
