Why my Asiatica is still shy??

I bought him(Size:30Cm) around 1 week. He never swimming out from the hiding cave in the tank,and nver touch any foods that i gave him.

What is problem?? Anyone,help....

other than caves, do you have any plants in your tank?people say put more plants so they will feel safer but it doesnt work for my fish,i have the same problem with my channa maruloidies,even with plants and plety of hiding place, they still hide. i can only see them during feeding time.

My tank also planted a lot of plants.....its still hiding,and didn't swimming out for food,only hiding in the caves,,,Terimakasih to SawtoothGrin's reply.

maybe water temperature? when its too cold fish tend to not swim around, their body just kinda slows down

one week is still short , give it two- three weeks to get used to the enviroment , its quite normal for them to hide during juvenile stage
