I've read both your posts - regarding the pump - crap happens, and get used to it with Piranha. There's nothing "Graceful" about Piranha. They have very strong muscular bodies coupled w/ large boney heads and barrell thru anything and everything. Expect broken heaters, return pipes, glass lids, HOB's, and powerheads - they'll ram into these things more frequently than your aware of.

You can't go by "X"gal. per P as they grow, it's more or less a suggested guideline for juvi aggression. As they grow you may need 30-50gal per Nettereri, even more for Piayra, Cariba's, and Serra's.

As for aggression - it doesn't really ever stop. I see bite marks on my P's everyday and I got 3 in 150 gal. A few things you can do -let things playout, sub adult Piranha are usually out of the cannibal stage, as they grow the pecking order changes to match largest to smallest. If the shoal thought you had a sick one that one would be dead and eaten. You'll probably be super shocked to see how much damage these fish can withstand and they heal like the "Wolverine" from the X-men. Feed them daily and not Goldfish, they have next to no nutritional value and are loaded with bad things. I use silversides 1 per fish at smaller sizes go 1 per 2 fish, if leftovers go 1 per 3 and so on. I'm not a big fan of Pellets and P's they don't have those teeth to eat cereal. Also feed them market shrimp once a week - same formula as above, it'll fatten them up quickly. If they get way outta hand - lower the temp of the tankwater from 78-80 to 75 degrees, it will calm them down. Lights off they are actually more comfortable and does little for shoal squabling. They actually prefer to eat w/ lites off and nobody standing there watching. Best of Luck!

Its a stray ac current?? How is that the piranhas fault?
And they were AGRESSIVE BECAUSE THEY WERE BEING SHOCKED AND TORTURED!! It even hurt my finger when i touched water!

I know the cause and now the solution.

Btw their all back to their old selfs and no longer trying kill eachother.

And your talking about aggression when you only have 3? Thats not enough and why urs are aggressive. Maybe get 2 more.

And mine are relativly small so a 90 gal thats decorated effiecent with X9 turnover (ac110,xp4,9uvc,powerhead with polisher) i think thats a practical enviroment for now.

Im just mad at the company who produce this bs product that made my fish suffer!

I need to sue them for pain and suffering and get some dough for my piranhas. Thank fuc*k for stress coat!

Yea I've had pirahnas bite cords fake blants its all normal though since they have teeth once in awhile they'll chew on stuff just like babys chew when teething so might not wanna put things like cords all the way into the water piranhas are known for breaking heaters and if its from ur fish chewing u don't have a case lol
