Why is this yellow tang so expensive? All I see different is that it has a brown line on it.

Why did someone buy it?! There must be something I'm missing.... maybe it's a rare color variation and maybe it's actually a sub species of yellow tangs that haven't been officially a sub species yet?

Divers den is listing it as an aberrant tang, people collect these tangs for their genetic mutations because no mutation is alike they’ll have a one of a kind fish. Sometimes their color mutation turns into even more of a variation. I wouldn’t have paid that amount for the fish but if it turns half brown and yellow that would be pretty unique. No telling right now it’s young still
