hello everyone. I'm curious to know why the larger and older one(3.5in) has washed out color while the younger one(1.5in) has really nice bold colors. Both are very active and healthy

The bigger guy has very bad coloring most likely because of bad genes. They are both Burundi and Burundis are inbreeded so many times that their colors wash out through each new generation. The smaller guy with good diet and water quality will exhibit better coloring for sure.

Split bars, faded bars, crooked jaw, mooning, fat bellies like really big, short body length, too big eyes, tail, gills.

Just type mooning in the search bar. I know there was a sticky here on this kind of information I just forgot where it is at.

On the lighter Front the bars are nice and define with no mooning if the color had anything to do with inbreeding I would expect to see mooning on the bars. Fronts are constantly changing colors with mood and environment, if you notice the washed out Front is in front of a white wall, this could be one reason, also could be nervous.

A darker substrate, background, and nice lighting would also help bring out more color :)
