today i went to the bookstore and found an interesting fish/aquatic reptile book.It was very informative, too. But i noticed something very strange,it had care for the loggerhead sea turtle! Why would it have care for an endangered species? And also, how are you gonna get one?Ifound this quite strange.

zookeepers? i have no idea, they are endangered, so we can't have them

Thats what i thought. But this was for private aquarists.

I used to own that book lol. It was printed in the 70s if I remember correctly. Possibly before they were considered endangered?

i do wish i bought it though.it did have some great info.

What did it say?
"min tank size 70,000 gallons"?

Lol, I had that book too. I don't know where I put it but it isn't missed.

Loggerheads (Caretta caretta) actually eat mostly big crustaceans. I've seen them at public aquariums in tanks of several thousand gallons. Adults get to about three feet long and 200 plus pounds.
