Why won't my Chinese Soft Shell Turtle eat when I am around?

I was just wondering why my baby soft shell (http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/f...0-New-pick-up!-Update-every-week-D&highlight=) does not eat when I am around. It eats all its food when I am gone and its the only one in its tank. Also she is getting super fat

I am just a little bit annoyed but its not for my benefit but I really want to see it eat a fish, prawns, worms, tadpoles even pellets!

Hes just shy.
When hes a litte bigger he'll eat like theres no tomorrow.

hes still not quite used to you yet. maybe lighten the amount of handling and he'll warm up to you more? idk, all my turtles have been very outgoing (including softies)

To be honest, after keeping 18 turtles through out this hobby, this is first and I have kept RES, Yellow Bellies, Maps, Common Snappers, Musk etc. Tbh, I only handle approx. 45 mins every 2 days so I was worried lol
