I’ve been making homemade fish food by blending tilapia, garlic, vitamins, spinach then making it into a gelatin. All my other fish, (loaches, polypterus, and catfish) all love the mix except for my O. Anyone else have this issue or suggestions?

Don't feed him for a couple days hell eat it if hes hungry, I've had one oscar though that was the fussiest fish i've ever owned it wouldnt crack could starve it for a month at a time an all it would eat was prawns(shrimp) an beefheart. maybe blend some pellets up into the mix that he already eats?

Try making the blend along with a pellet food that you feed him regularly. Perhaps he'll recognize the taste and be more willing to eat it.

My O's are so used to pellets that if I give them shrimp or chunks of fish I have to throw in some pellets to get them started eating, or they will just ignore it and I end up cleaning it off the bottom.
