whys my whiptail eating so much

Brought home a whip tail last week hasnt eaten a lot now for the last 24 hrs it hasnt stopped his stomach is severly bloated i've never seen this kind of behaviour before anyone have any ideas

If you haven't already done this, stick to raw veggies only or nothing at all for awhile. Atleast stop feeding anything dry or processed (definately no pellet food)until he acts normal again. Could be constipation. Can kill.

what is the temperature of the tank if it is overheated that will speed up the metabolism of the fish causing them to eat much more than is normal...

keeping it at a constant 80 he seems alright now he feasts then fasts
i just saved him 1/2 an hr ago the o2 was a bit low first sign when this guys start panting and climbing up the glass going to keep the o2 generator running f/t now close call lost my first whip tail this way
