Hey guys i was just wondering what are some good places to buy cichlids in the fox valley (WI)? My LFS is overpriced and underfed(just pets). any recommendations?

milwaukee has a few great stores, but the whole hour drive one way thing.

Always willing to help a fellow wisconsin fish fan :D those two are my biggest sites, can find lots of fish (couple guys can get just about anything) and other supplies. Virtually all my fish are from here, can't complain at all. Good lines and lots of money saved versus goin to the fish stores. Might be somewhat of a drive for a GCCA fish swap, but I came home with 4 dozen fish for around ~100 bucks. All colorful mbuna which would kill me if I bought them at a LFS. Jus sayin, no hate on the LFS.

Shameless bump for a 55gal I'm selling on the Wisc Cichlid for sale (same username), not sure how far you are or where exactly you're located, but I have a cheap 55gal I need to get rid of before my better half blows a stack hahaha

EDIT: I think there is also a classifieds forums for a madison area aquatic... http://madisonaquatichobby.com/forum/ found it

I got some of my fish from the local club (the maah link above) and some of them I ordered on AquaBid.com... I could have gotten the fish from 2 hours away but I was impatient so I got them on Aquabid.

Lookup jeff at http://aquaticclarity.com/ he can get TONS of fish and is in milwaukee.

Fishlady is in jefferson I think, here's a post where she has all of her fish for sale:

WELL I work @ just pets and while we are not the lowest price around, we do not underfeed our fish. I know this quite well as I deal only with the fish. please keep the negative comments to yourself as you do not know the situation the fish was in when we recieved them. Apparently you don't know what dealing w/wholesalers is like.
