wich gravel truley brings out colors in fish.

i want a color that will make my oscar stand out, and darken it or brighten it, whatever it does.

also a color that brings out colors in any fish. like makes blacks blackey, whites whiter.

i know it has to do with food quality too, but you can have the best food and gravel that bleaches their colors. no sence in that

I would have to say Black rocks or gravel or even Black Sand will bring out the best color in your fish... but remember, black shows great color, but will also show unwanted debris... fish poop, uneaten food...etc.

I have to agree, black really makes the fish's colors stand out , my friend is using black sand in his tank and it really makes his albino Oscar appear much brighter and his Jack dempsey shine!

im using black sand in my 125 and my fish stand out really good. i also think that if you have an all black background and black tank and stand it makes it even better

If it's the dark look you want i'd go with Black Tahitan Sand or Some Irish Moss Peat to compensate for there digging !

The darker the gravel, the more color will show. I actually have black sand and I used limo tint on the back of my aquarium. My Albino Tiger Oscar and Jaguar Cichlid really shines. However, if you get a dark colored fish, it'll blend in. I also have a Jack Dempsey which blends in when the lights are off, but the colors are amazing when the lights are on.
