My 75g tank has a wicked moss outbreak, how do I fet rid of it? My pater perameters are spot on, ammonia 0, nitrite 0, nitrate >20ppm. And I do 20 % water changes weekly. My tap water is a fishkeepers dream too, no nitrates, nitrites or ammonia..... I do use api aquarium salt to the recommended dosage... Whats the deal? :irked:

Do you mean algae? Less light will help with algae.

IDK, maybe, its growing on the substrate, and the larger rocks in the tank. Algea normaly turns the tankwater green right? Ive had algea blooms before, and it was in the water not growing on the tank surface.

If your tank is exposed to sunlight, it'll cause algae to grow for sure. Things to do to prevent it is to not overfeed, since excess nutrients in water aids algae growth, and either moving your tank to another place where it isn't expose to sunlight, or find something to block it.

Is it long and stringy? If so, it might be hair algae.
