i treated my polypterus with quickcure 2 days ago for those litte worm things and they healed up pretty well, kinda...

i guess my silver dollars couldnt take the med. and they died, but from me working 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. every day i couldnt get there in time. the dead silvers caused a huge ammonia spike and killed-

1- galaxy pleco
2- nicaraguense
3- silver dollars
1- 3" polypterus senegalus

i am soooo sad. i had some of those fish for a long time. im going to trade in a leopard gecko today to get some more fish now that my tank is straightened out. wish me luck all. im excited to get some new fish, but sad i lost my old ones.

Damn.. that REALLY sucks!!! Sorry to hear about your loss, really crappy circle of death there. Well GL with what ever you go for.... keep us posted

that stinks sorry for the loss

so... instead of getting some more dithers and cichlids, i got a true tiger shovelnose. not a lima. its about 5" it was suppose to be $59.99, but it was in a tank that had smaller tsn previously for $24.99. i talked to the kid a bit and he gave it to me for the $24.99 and i traded a leopard gecko and got $20 for it, so i really only paid $5.99!!!

im gonna need help with an i.d. now that i have looked on planetcatfish.com, im not sure what i have. can someone post some juvie pics of the shovlenose complex? tigs, lima, etc.
