you thick a wickii could live with a Hoplias malabaricus in 75 grow out? i am not getting either my friend wants both and a gulper cat like mine.

Wouldnt the gulper just eat them both if it was the same size? NO matter how aggressive or who the fish is the gulper just eats them. That is its defense.

I told him there is no way its going to work.

I saw a wolfish kill a clairas same size as it easy so it would probably total the wickii and the gulper if the same size would just swallow both.

Wyckii and wolf fish will be a bad idea. Two very aggressive fish will likely end up with one.

Gulper same size will swallow a wolf fish same size.

Wolf won't be bigger than a wyckii and will be bigger than a gulper.

All these fish should be kept alone and not with each other.

my friend thinks the wolffish will be able to prevent the gulper from eating it with its big teeth

thing is i know the gulper seen it in action once it gets a hold of something NOTHING escapes it. it just swallows it whole

There is no way a wolf fish even a bit bigger would survive a 7 inch gulper

I have never seen a gulper eat another gulper or a catfish so i dont know about the wickii I just know that if a fish trys to fight a gulper the gulpers defense is to eat it.

IMHO, all you can do is tell your friend that chances are huge this won't work on many levels.

As for the gulpers diet, they only don't eat other gulpers, spit them out actually if accidentally get them in their mouth. Every other fish AFAIK a fair game. They definitely have no prejudice against other catfish.

On the other hand, gulpers can be easily eaten by predators larger than them.
