Wide bar skittish

Are these guys normally super duper skittish? They were a little better in the 400g but in the 75g man can't even open the lid to feed without them crashing the walls of the tank! They are about a good 4 to 5 inch . Just wondering if others experience this. I grew them out from like 1 inch

They're claustrophobic so to speak, they need space to swim and school
I would leave them in the big tank.

Ya makes sense. They made my rays nervous that's why I pulled them. Thinking of putting them back though. It's a shame cause the are awesome

Yea they are, I had a school of 6 that grew to 10-11" before I sold them.
 
Put some other fish to them. So the Widebars feel safe and then they will calm down.
