WiDEBAR DiET:MEAL WORMS

Well, lately...

i have finally discovered the AGE OLD "MEAL WORM"
in which my Bichirs have totally taken a liking to~
they seem to chomp them up with GLEE.

but my question is...
HAVE ANY OF YOU EVER GOTTON YOUR DATNOIDS ON MEAL WORMS?
or rather, has any of your dats ever eaten any Meal Worms?

i just think it would be cool if my Dats ate Meal Worms, but they seem to show them no attention at all.
they just look at me like im going to throw in some feeders or something~
in which will never happen again.(feeding them feeders)

i know of someone that feeds his wide bar only meal worms. he said it took it right off the bat. ive tried meal worms with thin bars and they dont even take a second look

I tried to get my big one on them, wont get near them. He'll only eat live jumbo night crawlers, or raw fish. Other than that it's gotta be live

out of 6 x pulchers and 1 x NGT only 1 will eat meal worms

I started off all of my smaller dats on mealworms. They rush it when they hit the water and start wiggling. Its protein but not as good as pellets and market shrimp. But mealworms are really easy to breed. My dats even ate them when they turned into bettles. You can even try silkworms and silk worm pupas. Lots of koi enthusiast use it to bring out color and good protein
