Wierd barbel

The end of one of my rtcs nasial barbel has divided into two at the end. I don't like it. Can I clip it off below the split? Will it grow back normal?

why would you want to do that
leave it as it is the older one will fall off in time

that usually happens if the barbel is injured in some way
