Doing water changes
So i have 2 tanks running in my living room for right now a 180 & 240. Now in the 180 i have a male umbee with a male and female convicts. and in the 240 i have an aro 2 O's GT 6 Clown Loaches 4 Silver dollars Jag Umbee. Now in the 240 it seems like the Jag and Umbee have taken half well a little more then half of the tank to themselves and i think they may become a pair But i think they are both males. and in the 180 i have a male umbee that likes the female convict but will not tolerate the male what so ever. Would it be possible for a Managuense/Umbrinefrum or a Umbrinefrum/Convict?

Sure is I have 5 texas/convict hybrids growing out right now that are beautiful. They have the blue texas color but it is barred like a convict and they are def. bigger than normal convict fry.

mabye and no a jag umbee hybrid would be cool but i kinda dout they could breed

nice got any pics of them

I posted some up a cpl weeks ago they have gotten a barred striping now but it is the blue color of the texas on the bars and the spangles of a texas on them too but they have the body shape of a convict but are bulkier.

One day You will have Umbee in each tank and nothing else:)

Agreed that this should be in the hybrid section, but while it's here, I've got a Aequidens pulcher and a Heros esfaciatus that have paired up, not completely though. They've spawned together a couple of times, nothing came of it, and they generally fight a lot.

That would be true if these tanks were the final homes and im only going to keep 2 of all my umbee growouts since i just want a pair. The rest will be sold off once i pick the best looking ones.
