Wierd flashing + twitching fins one time.

So I caught my GT doing some flashing which he has never done before and it's not like what I would expect as normal flashing or rubbing.

First off it looked like so.ethjng was irritating him. The flashing was slow and didn't seem like much force when rubbing on the substrate. He would swoop one direction then the next hitting both sides repeated this for a few swoops per side.

It was followed up with flicking and or twitching his fins. Dorsal anal and tail. Like rapidly opening and closing them.

Just looking to see if anyone has seen something like this before.

Hard to say without a video, but my Severums do what I would describe as almost clapping. It’s not something I’ve seen a lot, but I took it as a show of dominance.

Hmmm.... did you test the water?

Yeah I did and it's been pristine. The flashing was in-between water changes, like mid week. It only happened the one time that I saw.

That is strange. Maybe he just had a scratch? I can’t imagine it’s a parasite since you’ve already treated him.
