Noticed for a few weeks 1 of my motoro, she's a female with 2 males in the tank. Noticed that she seems to be puffing up sometimes??

Appettite is really good though.

Tank parameters.

ph - 7.5
Nitrate 40 ppm before weekly 40% water change.

Here are some pics of her.

should i be worried?

What do you mean by puffing up? Rays blow water out of there mouths into the substrate looking for food which is normal behavior. Is this what she is doing?

I'm not rwally sure since i don't have substrate, but her disc would baloon up sometimes. what does ray death curl look like? looking at the video could it be death curl? but my ray's appetite is quite good.

do a water change just to be sure 40ppm is a lil high, keep the lights off for a while, how long have you had them, to me it looks like she just over ate a lil bit but i havent seen one "balloon up that much" normally death curl goes the oposite way, where the outside of the disks go up around the ray

nitrate of 40ppm is nothing i would be happy if mine were 40ppm

that would be very low for my old set up...

doesnt sound like a problem to me...

Video and pic originally did not show up for me. Is there a strong current where she is laying or does she do it in different areas of the tank.
