i've been a freshwater junkie for many years...
I just started my first saltwater tank (25ish gal) bought 3 pounds of live rock form LFS.To my surprise i got some hitchhikers... i have a thingy that doesn't like the light but at night extends a worm\tongue type thing that once attacked my cleaner shrimp while he wondered near by... does anyone know what this might be? is it dangerous? should i remove it from my new live rock? it is obviously nocturnal and extends to up to 4.5 inches in length at night but retracts during the day and is just a little nipple on the rock. please help... i just had a fish die and i don't want to have something harmful to my new tank.
Thanks again for reading, i hope to become more informed with the saltwater creatures soon... I will be finding books and other info to help my new found love for aquariums...
