Ok so my 2 German Blue rams spawned again and so far the eggs made it into the wiggler stage, But the parents have ich. I already have the temp at 84, and if I do treat them for ich with medications will it effect the fry?, and if I dont will the fry get the ich?? help ty

The fry wont make it. The meds would kill them and they would succumb to the ich very fast too if no meds are given. I would just sacrifice these frys to save the parents. Or, seperate the fries and parents ASAP and hopefully some frys will make it if they dont get the Ich. Otherwise its a choice between the parents or the frys. In which case the frys survival isnt guaranteed.

Don't need to use meds, use salt. One tablespoon per 5 gallons of water. Treat for 3 weeks.

I still dont think the frys could make it, they have very weak immune systems, I think they would succumb very quickly. I would just seperate them for the sake of the parents and focus on saving the parents. Leaving them in there either way I think they will die. Seperating them might give them a chance.

I agree, salt + increased tank temp should help. Also, I don't know what size tank you have or tankmates etc, but make sure that the water is as close to perfect as you can with frequent waters changes until recovery is complete.

just add salt like everyone suggested, worst case scenario you lose the fry. it would be sad to lose a proven pair

In the middle of the salt and high temp treatment now on my red sev, on the advice of Lupin from this forum, and it WORKS! JUst give it time and dont panic.

I don't recall offhand, but it is usually on the container of salt from brands like API or Jungle
