What do they look like? Obviously all the Xback and chilli reds are selectively line bred man-made colours, so what does a wild caught Scleropages formosus look like?

I know they're CITES, so I'm not expecting shots of one in someones collection, but surely there's pics of them floating round the net somewhere...

hah, yea i would love to see a wild in the wild, but most likely the farm has them and their fries are F1.

They look mostly like washed out Greens; I believe.

the golden and red aro are wild color forms too just like green. the colors are not man-made per se. although the selective/line breeding has probably made their colors more stunning as well as producing different head shapes etc. i guess my point is man didn't create red/rtg/xback etc just from wild green.

I really have no idea at all, i do know the guy is standing back for the tank to make his fish look bigger than it is though.
