I just heard they are banning export. However I thought this was already in place. Anyone know if it is just a Quota thing per year ( Like in Hunting) or if they truly will blacklist the species ? There seems to be different information on the subject.

Either way I am bringing in 3 12-14 inchers Hopefully 1 male and 2 females

Export has been quota'd in recent years. Haven't heard anything about a new full ban.

Jabkun, freshwater rays are illegal to keep in Texas.

I have state and federal permits.
Some states they are either Prohibited ( Can not have them at all) or they are restricted ( Can have them with proper intention and permits)

they were banned in like 2002 or something close to that, then a quota was released in 09' and 2010 (might not be exact)

havent heard of a new quota for 2011 yet.

those are pretty big

Make sure they are not orb's.

That is what I was thinking. They opened them up for collection for a little while and might lock it down again for a few years.

Luckily I got 3 coming now

Yeah, I tried getting the permits but they told me that I had to either use them for educational purposes or if I was selling them like you.
