I saw this wild caught polleni at my lfs, and I brought it impulsively x.x

I regret of purchasing it

Its a 6" male x...x

And that's the Achilles heel behind impulse buys. Nice fish though, you should keep it. Keep an eye on Craigslist.com for another tank.
 
Ha, literally an impulse buy!! Normally you think about available tank space before you do impulse buys!! Oh well, couldn't of picked a better cichlid, unless of course it was a Crenicichla! :D
 
well that is the trouble im sure weve all been there at some point. now that ure overstocked just make sure u keep up on water changes, very nice fish tho.

Nice fish BTW.

Not sure if that fish is a WC though, don't think many are being imported nowadays with the endangered status. Even if it is or isn't it's still a very nice fish.
 
i agree with Mad about. I would question it's origin. chances are very high that it is captive bred. madagascar has some of the toughest wildlife export laws. The polleni and bleekeri are already on the endangered list so its improbable that a Wildcaught polleni would be in the hands of your LFS.

Polleni have always been one of my favorites. The two I saw at ACA sacramento were about 10-11" and Glassbanging! very impressive fish at large sizes.
