My daughter picked this up last night as a wild caught Oscar . I believe it just might be since it doesn't have the colors of a line bred fish . At any rate I think it is a very nice fish .

don't you just love them?

Wild or not, that is a very nice looking specimen. the pics quality is great as well. keep the pics posted. if it is wild you should be able to tell here soon. i believe they have more than one ocellus spot, i think they will get some ocellus in their dorsal fins as well??????? who knows, nice fish. thanks for sharing

My understanding is that some wild Oscars have more than one ocellus spot but not all . I could be wrong though . Who knows it could have been wild caught in Florida I suppose .

Very true . I used to have a pair that I had raised from the size of a quarter that were still breeding at 14 years old . I got tired of all the fry and had many chances to sell them for quite a lot of money but I gave them away to a guy that I knew that would give them a wonderful home for the rest of their life .
