Does anybody own or have any pics of wild oscars? We have a chance to buy a wild caught oscar and would like to know what they look like this one is a nice green color with very little markings. I always thought the tiger oscar was the wild color of them any help would be great.

What's the locality? Here's my Peru!

In the Subforum at the top of the page there is a lot of people with their wild oscars mainly from Peru.

I will check out those links the picture of the one we are looking at is pretty much solid green it looks like the tiger must be from Peruvian blood lines judging by their coloring.

You say the wild caught are more aggresive we have 5 oscars now ranging in size from 4 to 8 inches would a wild caght 12 inch hurt these ones or do they prefer the company of other oscars because these ones seem to get along ok. I was also wondering if it would be ok if it mated with one of ours they 2 tigers 2 lutinos and 1 albino.

Oscars typically do not get a long to begin with... unless you grow them up together from a young and and then you still see little territory battles. a 12inch oscar with 5 inch oscars isnt a great idea
