Trying to figure out what else to try to get my 2 new wild caught texas cichlids to eat. Haven't tried anything live yet, tried pellets, frozen brine shrimp, krill, and mysis.

Maybe a fresh veggie or something?

Any ideas appreciated, thanks.

since they are wild caught you are most likely going to have to start with live stuff like worms or something and then wean them onto pellets, if they are in the tank with an already captive fish that eats pellets than it will be easier since the competitive thing will encourage them to go after the pellets before the other one gets them but if not then start with live to get them nice and healthy and then wean them onto pellets slowly by fasting them a couple days and getting them onto dead stuff like fish fillets and then try dropping a piece of fish or worm once you have them on that and then a pellet and then a piece of worm and then pellet, etc until they go after just the pellets GOOD LUCK

They will eat anything. My "wild caught" ones were used to getting fed by visitors so they ate pellets right away.
