Got this guy shipped in today from Gage at Cichlid Connection:

That's a cell phone camera about half an hour after being in the tank after being shipped across the country, so I think he doesn't look half bad. :) On a side note, if anyone has bought the smaller F1 godmanni from Gage recently, you're very likely looking at dad. Came in with two females as part of a long term breeding trio.

Might post a few more pics, just waiting for everything to get settled! Got 5 new species today. Will start a few threads at some point as all my tanks are pretty much completely different and JK47 got a real camera! :)

Wow, are most Godmanni as vibrant as this?
I was looking at various fish to restock my 5x2x2 and was unsure about this fish. That is stunning, even more so because of the amount of stress it has just been under. Will be a cracker when it settles.

Wow there's something you do not see too often. Very nice fish how big is he and the females? Looking forward to see what you have done with your fish tanks.

I honestly have no clue as you hardly ever see them, especially adults! But if you buy from Gage right now, this is the dad, so they'll grow up to look like this.

Very nice!

Thanks.

Only other big one I've seen is Dan Ye Jenning's knockout show male (which came from the same source). I'm sure others have them, but you don't see them around much. Didn't measure anyone, but he's probably a bit under 12". Females are probably around 7-8" (one is smaller than the other).

Very nice. I almost purchased some these from him but i chose to go with the C.micropthalmus instead. Maybe one day i'll get em. Best of luck with the trio. Get some more pics up ASAP!!!!! lol

Beautiful fish...nice pickup.
