i'm getting a 300g amazonin tank 87"x28"x28" with a 3d background and i'm going to keep around 10 or so wild discus 50-75 cardinal tetras 30-50 rummy nose tetras some corys a group of otos and then i wanted some peaceful cichlids like Festivum or earth eaters the tank will have a sponge filter in the background a 50g sump and a 50gpd automatic water changer

cardinals are a crap shoot. they are a natural food for discus, so they might just be an expensive snack. could work but I think they are safer with domestics. do not get oto's. bn plecos are much safer. many people report that oto's suck the slime coat from discus. the rest would make great tank mates.
